7th Florida Book Fair to be Held on June 28 in Delray Beach

The 7th Florida Book Fair is scheduled to take place on June 28 at the South County Civic Center in Delray Beach, South Florida. Organized by Dhaka Club Florida, the fair will run from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, featuring writers, poets, literary figures, and book lovers from various South Florida cities.
Renowned Bangladeshi playwright Mamunur Rashid will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony. Other notable guests include writer and UNICEF Meena Award recipient Humayun Kabir Dhali. Cultural performances will be presented by singer Dinat Jahan Munni and dancer Parsa Ivana.
Publishers such as Muktodhara, Anannya, Amboy, and Nalanda will participate in the fair. Due to weather concerns, this year’s event will be held indoors. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase books directly from the publisher stalls.
Meem Hossain, President of Dhaka Club Florida, said, “We want the expatriate Bangladeshi community to read more books. Despite the challenges following the COVID-19 pandemic, we are organizing this seventh edition and hope to include more publishers in the future.”
Community activist Dipu Khan added, “Our goal is to foster thoughtful engagement and cultural activities among expatriates through reading.”
The media partners for the event include Prothom Alo North America, national daily Rupali Bangladesh, and Somoy TV.
